Let’s not build on every unoccupied space in Nashua. City people need a break from walls and pavement. Many european cities have pockets of “eye candy”, may that be a vegetable garden or just a spot with a couple of nice trees, a bench and some flowers. It’s good for the soul and gives the impression of space. And it brings birds and butterflies.

It may also give some underrated folks something to do if you give them the job of taking care of these jewels of dirthood. I bet some hood kids may want to take charge of a neat little spot of grass with some flowers if their name is on it.
